I am a native of Western North Carolina who has been delivering counseling services in the area for over 16 years. My desire is to offer quality mental health treatment to the people in our community. I provide services to children, adults, and families. I believe in starting where you’re at and providing support and clinical tools to help promote hope, healing, and wholeness. I recognize that the heaviness of mental illness, pain, and suffering can oftentimes act as a weight that keeps an individual bound and my goal is to help loosen bonds and promote liberty.

A Safe and Secure Environment

I believe that each individual has worth and purpose and I will treat you as such. I provide a safe, secure environment in which you can be assured that all your feelings are okay to feel and express. My desire is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with you, challenging negative thinking and beliefs, and refocusing you on your strengths while assisting you in identifying more helpful perspectives that allow you to let go of what anchored you in your suffering. I value the importance of caring for the whole person, taking into account your physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs, in order to better your overall health and well-being. I can incorporate your faith and Biblical principles to the extent that you request.

Practices and Treatment

I utilize evidence-based practices and treatment modalities that have been found effective in treating your diagnosis. I believe that treatment is a process that consists of identifying the needs, establishing clear measurable goals, and working to produce positive outcomes. I encourage my clients by assuring them that if they will trust the process, the process can be effective. As a goal oriented individual myself, I could not have spent my career meeting others in their despair if I had not witnessed firsthand the power of healing and didn’t personally believe in the process.

I would love to speak to you more about our own needs and desires. You can reach out to me for scheduling or additional information at (828) 835-6314.
